License Plate Look-Out
Objective:
This game can be played as a one-time game or over a period of time, until all states are crossed off.
For a one-time game, print out several copies and give a list to each passenger in the vehicle. After reaching your destination, the person with the most states "crossed-off" the list is the winner. When a person spots a license plate the don't yet have, once they indicate to the others that they have spotted the plate, nobody else is able to use that vehicle for their own list.
For the "long version" of the game, we have kept the list for over a year before we've completed crossing off each state. The "hard" states to find are usually Hawaii and Alaska.
Directions:
1) Print out this webpage 2) Cut out the list of states 3) Glue the list to a piece of cereal-box cardboard. 4) Store the list on the visor of your car.
Rules:
Players must be in the car. At least TWO (2) people in the car must see the license plate! When the plate is spotted on a vehicle, (either moving or parked), you check-off the state that you spot. Cars, trucks, busses ... any vehicles.
